'The beauty of Kundalini yoga is that is you can just physically sit there, fix the automatic rhythm of your pranayam (breath control) add a creative naad (inner sound), your mind becomes focussed and balanced. In one kriya you can immediately achieve a complete physical, mental and spiritual balance. it works so effectively and quickly because of this completeness, balance and energy.' (Yogi Bhajan)

For many people, the word 'yoga' suggests complex physical positions. In fact, 'yoga' means union and CG reflects the integrative purpose of yoga which aims to unite the physical with the spiritual and the individual with the cosmic.

Kundalini yoga is the yoga of awareness and the pranayama - breathwork - and meditations in this tradition can be vigorous and even challenging. Many kryias - specific exercises which can be moving or stationary - are designed to balance and harmonise the hemispheres of the brain, enhancing thinking, expanding intuition and improving glandular performance, quickly and effectively. Just 3 minutes increases blood circulation; in 7 minutes the brain begins to shift from beta to calmer alpha waves; after 22 minutes anxiety starts to release from the subconscious.

One of the very many key effects that Kundalini yoga can help develop is the ability to identify and isolate intuition, enabling us to distinguish true intuition from wishful thinking or guesswork. This is key to unlocking creative potential and finding genuine vocation.
